The Bourbon Introspective

Description: This pour opens with a bright, dessert-like nose of strawberry rhubarb pie, vanilla, and toffee. Initially, this pour drank hotter than expected, but after a few days to open up, it evolved nicely, and the heat disappeared. The palate brings a balanced mix of oak, caramel, and cherry, with underlying notes of black pepper and a touch of tobacco. The finish is long, leaning more to a single note of sweet walnut, though a persistent black pepper spice keeps it lively.
